Building surveying services include professional advice on behalf of landlords and tenants of commercial premises and covers matters such as independent advice in relation to building condition surveys / reports, along with inspections and advice in relation to defects and dilapidations.
Many construction projects will require works to be undertaken to the external and / or the party walls. The procedures that need to be followed in relation to any party wall works are set out in The Party Wall Etc. Act 1996. The procedures require specialist knowledge and Mitchell Price have been appointed as party wall surveyors.
Under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015, clients are required to be able to show they have complied with their duties relating to the design and construction phases. Mitchell Price have assisted clients for a number of years by providing a framework within the project to enable clients to comply.

We are able to act as Principal Designer under the Regulations which is helpful when the architect is not based in the UK and not subject to these regulations.
In the vast majority of commercial and retail leases, there will be a requirement to hand the premises back to the landlord / owner in a condition as set out in the lease. Mitchell Price have assisted tenants and landlords in the preparation and resolution of claims for dilapidations.
