Our client wished to purchase and refurbish a large house which had not been altered or substantially repaired for over 50 years.

Initially we undertook a Building Survey of the property and compiled a cost plan for our clients’ outline proposals. Following the purchase we were appointed by our client as Building Surveyors. We prepared detailed design drawings, obtained the necessary statutory consents, tendered the work and administered the contact to its completion.

The project included a complex piled foundation scheme and involved is in managing not only the Main Contractor but also our clients’ directly employed kitchen, conservatory and landscaping specialists.

Our client took a “hands on” approach to the construction work and we enjoyed helping to translate their aspirations for the property into reality.
